The idea lying behind the Foundation's activities is that of human solidarity and willingness to help children affected by cancer.

The funds obtained from private donors and institutions are spent on  improving  conditions of the treatment of young patients. We buy necessery equipment and apparatus, finance renovations of the Oncology Clinic of the Children's Memorial Health Institute.

It is our goal to help the doctors of the Oncology Clinic develop contacts, share their experience and get acquainted with the latest achievements in the field of pediatric oncology through the cooperation with both national and international institutions, which specialize in the treatment of cancer in children.

We cover the expenses of the professional trainings for the nursing staff and we enable the doctors working in the Oncology Clinic to participate in conferences organized in Poland and abroad. We make every efford to grant the doctors access to the latest world publications. We also pay fees for the membership in the prestigious medical institutions and associations for doctors such as:

· Professor Danuta Perek,
International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP)

· Professor Bożenna Dembowska - Bagińska:
European Medicines Agency (EMEA)
International Society of Peadiatric Oncology (SIOP)

In the years 2008 – 2011, the  Ex Animo Foundation provided accommodation for parents of children requiring  long hospitalization.
